OMG, what a day! Thanks for sharing, I must admit that I've never watched a full episode of any of these kind of shows (yes, they do have those in Europe also!), but I can totally understand how you must have felt.
Please keep us posted, even if the news in two weeks is bad. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed for you.

I think lying about seeing the show would have put you into stickiness and you did the right thing. Now they know you aren't a suck up. :P
You know what's worth it to me? Knowing you got to sing the ENTIRE song. They musta heard something they liked to let you continue.
And now we cross our fingers.

Best of luck Matthew. I saw you play in Chris Penn's back yard a couple years back. I watched last season and one of the finalists was a piano player singer. He was great and made me think that you would do well on this show. I really feel fortunate to had witnessed you play in such an intimate setting. I hope to be watching you on TV when the show airs.
